This “Poor Man’s Steak” recipe came to me from an Amish acquaintance. That’s very fantastic. Why do I not feel deprived eating it?

3/4 cup of milk

directives:

Set the oven’s heat high—350°F.

Combine in a big bowl the ground beef, milk, chopped onion, salt, black pepper, chili powder, garlic powder, broken saltine crackers. Good mixing will help you to blend everything.

Form the materials into oval or rectangular patties using a technique evocative of traditional steaks.

4. Coat every burger and toss aside any extra flour.

Melt the butter while a big pan is cooking over medium-high heat.

The sixth step is browning the covered patties in a skillet over medium heat, about three minutes on each side. After you remove the patties, set them aside. (This serves just to provide flavor and color.)

7. Arrange in a greased 9 by 13 baking tray. Pour gravy sauce over patties after basin mixing.

Bake for half an hour, foil on top. Bake for another ten minutes without covering.

Savour the rustic appeal of this Amish favourite, where good ingredients mix to create a delicious supper the entire family will enjoy.
