Beijing Beef Panda Express Copycat

Ingredients:
1 pound (454 g) flank steak, sliced into ¼” slices (against the grain)
1 cup (237 ml) vegetable oil
1 red bell pepper, cut into ½“ pieces
1 yellow onion, cut into ½” pieces
4 cloves minced garlic
4-6 tablespoons cornstarch
Beef Marinade:
1 large egg, beaten
2 teaspoon cornstarch
¼ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cold water
Sauce:
¼ cup (59 ml) water
2 tablespoons honey, or sugar
3 tablespoons ketchup
¼ cup (69 g) hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
1 ½ tablespoons sweet chili sauce
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1 ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 teaspoon cornstarch
